Serifos Island is an island gem with numerous sandy beaches and a beautiful

are now homes for Greek artists and architects. Hora offers breathtaking views and the scenery
to the island and the sea is magnificent. The village is divided into two districts,
Epano Hora and Kato Hora. In Epano Hora the square with the Town Hall
and the churches of Agios Ioannis and Agios Athanassios are places for a visit.
In Hora there is also a small Archaeological Museum.
Is a nice village with the fortified Moni (Monastery) of Taxiarchon.
The Monastery was built in 1500 and contains 18th century frescoes and Byzantine manuscripts.
